I work across heavy equipment, service, technical support, distribution, sales and business development. Machines are the starting point, but the real story almost always includes people, customers, technology, markets and the way work is actually done.
Practical experience before theory.
I am a mechanical engineer. Much of my professional work is connected to heavy equipment, service operations, technical support, industrial equipment and business development.
That means I tend to look at topics from both an engineering and a business perspective. A machine failure is not only a technical problem. It affects productivity, cost, customer relationships, service reputation and the decisions a customer will make next.
I am most interested in subjects where engineering meets real operating conditions, markets and the decisions made by people running businesses.
